Pain Awareness Month -
A Campaign

Our Opportunity

September is Pain awareness month. I created an animated campaign for a landing page and social media via Leva Clinic.

 

Leva wanted to raise awareness of the "silent epidemic" that is chronic pain, and the services they offer to those who need it. 

Anthropomorphising pain
in a light-hearted way.

Leva's marketing team created a narrative for pain awareness month the talked about pain being "the uninvited guest" that steals sleep and turns its host's lives upside down. I wanted to portray this as a grumpy, disruptive character, so using the PMP styling, I created pain boy.

Boosting engagement and getting results from social media

People who engaged with the page were 75% more likely to convert than those who didn't. Leva had about 350 people engage with the page, so small numbers, but the percentage lift is significant.

Flat-style vector animation

Leva's illustrative style uses typically flat, simple shape language and soft colours. I wanted to create an animation that followed suit with this, so created a series of 6 second SVG loops which I then stitched together and over dubbed with the voiceover and sound effects.
